Orange recently launched the new version of its Plazza internal social network for the group’s 154,000 employees around the globe. With the new collaborative tool that leverages the latest Machine Learning technology, Orange aims to increase employee communication and productivity. The enhanced platform is supported by the 'Business Together Sharespace' developed by Orange Business Services in partnership with Jive, a leading provider for corporate social network solutions.

Plazza offers tenfold increase in accessibility and supports multi-devices, claims Orange. With the platform, employees can now respond to customers’ needs faster, for example, customer services can use real-time discussion to resolve the most difficult cases and can leverage real-time information sharing with different people, including those outside the company. It is also designed to foster innovation and the emergence of new ideas through open discussions, polls, blogs and work streams to gain easier access to pertinent content and contacts not followed previously, said Orange

According to Orange, it hopes to see 50% of their employees participate in the social network and plans to train 80% of managers in the new collaborative work methods by 2018.
