Vodafone Italy last week announced that its 4G network is now present in 5,000 municipalities in Italy, covering 89% of the country's population. The Operator has also turned the LTE-Advanced technology, bringing its new 4G + service to 500 sites, offering subscribers speeds up to 225 Mbps. 

As part of the rollout, Vodafone has todate covered over 1,000 key tourist destinations in the country. The Operator has also launched the Vodafone Summer Card which is available in two different plans, 6GB for all summer with Spotify premium music streaming service included for 3 months and 15 GB for the whole summer with Spotify premium music streaming service included for one year.

Recently, Vodafone become the first in Italy to launch the VoLTE service with a suite of real time sharing services enabled on its new app, the Call +. Vodafone Italy said that the 4G Voice service will be available at no additional cost for all 4G customers with compatible smartphones such as the Samsung S6, S6 Edge Samsung, Samsung S5, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, LG G4 and Microsoft Lumia 640.
