Videotron Announces Expanded Cross-Canada LTE Coverage

Videotron, Tuesday announced a wider coverage of its LTE network across Quebec beginning May 13th - what the Operator says will span 'from Gaspé to Vancouver, from Prairie roads to Laurentian lakeshores'.

Videotron, an integrated communications company that offers cable television, interactive multimedia development, Internet access, cable telephone and mobile telephone services, said that its LTE mobile network covers nearly 90% of Québec's population and supports speeds of up to 150 Mbps. The operator has a network sharing agreement with Rogers to enable its customers to “travel the country worry free and at no additional cost". With its all inclusive Canada plans, Québec consumers and business people will be able to text their loved ones and pick up their emails at no extra charge across the land on Videotron's partner networks.

Manon Brouillette, President & CEO, Videotron
Today's announcement confirms our commitment to continue offering Québec consumers and businesses the best experience, which is why Videotron has the highest customer satisfaction rate of any telecommunications provider in Québec. Today, more than 632,000 individuals and companies use our mobile services, and that is first and foremost because of the effort we make to differentiate ourselves in the marketplace through our plans, our unique mobile content offerings and our vast selection of devices operating on a cutting-edge network. I am very pleased that in less than five years we have shaken things up in the Canadian marketplace, to the benefit of consumers across the country.
