BT TV has introduced TV Everywhere service, a 'buy-to-keep' streaming service to smartphones and tablets by launching a mobile app which allows its subcribers to extend their viewing on multiple devices in addition to the set top box. An extension of BT TV, TV Everywhere will be a free add-on for BT Extra Box subscribers and feature a variety of film titles, TV channels, and BT Sport. Films purchased on a BT TV YouView or Vision+ set top box are automatically available for customers to watch on smartphones, tablets or PCs at no extra cost, said BT TV. Customers can access their films on up to four different Apple or Android devices or online and either watch instantly or download to watch later or on the move.

BT TV’s buy-to-keep films include many of the latest blockbusters and a selection of modern greats and classics from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, Entertainment One UK, NBC Universal and Disney. BT TV is offering top hollywood titles for purchase in HD and SD, including 12 Years a Slave, Divergent, Despicable Me 2, Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in Digital HD™. Library prices start from as little as £3.99 for films in SD and just £5.99 for HD.

Alex Green, director of BT TV
BT TV was the first TV platform to offer buy-to-keep movies. Now we’re the first to offer these movies digitally on multiple devices. We believe customers will increasingly choose digital ownership given its freedom and flexibility and the ability to create your own personal movie library. Meanwhile our TV Everywhere service allows families to enjoy some of their favourite channels around the home and on the move.
