Dialog Axiata together with XL Axiata, hosted ‘METASTAGE’ the country's first metaverse entertainment experience in the ‘Futureverse’, featuring performances by the renowned Sri Lankan sensations BnS, Umaria, and Indonesian idol Vicky Shu.

This exclusive ticketed event, hosted to a virtual audience across Sri Lanka and Indonesia, provided attendees with the opportunity to witness spellbinding live performances by simply logging into the futureverse.dialog.lk website.

The metaverse is a virtual world that offers a new and exciting way to experience entertainment, and Dialog's Futureverse platform allows users to create their own avatars and interact with others in a seemingly borderless virtual environment. By hosting Sri Lanka's first metaverse entertainment experience, Dialog is leading the way in the country's digital entertainment space and paving the way for new and innovative ways for people to experience entertainment.

Axiata Group Berhad, Dialog Axiata and XL Axiata, together with the technology support of Axiata Digital Labs developed the metaverse ecosystem in association with the GSMA Open Gateway, paving the way for the easy deployment of all forms of future-fit events in the metaverse. The capability of this platform will be further enhanced as part of the GSMA Open Gateway ecosystem and will also be showcased at the upcoming Mobile World Congress.

Anthony Rodrigo, Group Chief Innovation Officer and Chief Architect of Dialog Axiata PLC
