Epic Games, the maker of one of the world's most popular online game Fortnite on Sunday announced that it partnering with mobile carriers Three to power the Fortnite Trinity Challenge, a new Trios tournament in the EU server region.

This new Fortnite Trios tournament will give players the opportunity to be the first to win the Trinity Trooper Outfit. Additionally, those who compete in at least five matches will earn the Trinity Impact and Trinity Overload Emoticons. Fortnite players on Android, PC and console are eligible to participate in the tournament, which goes live on March 14. This tournament is to celebrate the integration of “3Pay” in Fortnite, a convenient way for UK customers to pay for V-Bucks and other items via their Three mobile bill.

The tournament is a result of a group-wide collaboration between CKH Innovation Opportunities Development (CKHIOD), a unit of CK Hutchison’s telecom division that owns Three, and Epic Games, the developer behind Fortnite. Three UK and four other companies across the 3Group now provide a convenient and easy way for players to pay for items on the Epic Games Store and in the Fortnite Item Shop, including V-Bucks, and charge them straight to their mobile bill. Gamers who missed out on winning the Trinity Trooper Outfit will be able to grab it from the Fortnite Item Shop at a later date and charge it to their mobile phone bill.

Andrew Foy, director of new products and propositions at Three UK
We are excited to be partnering with Epic on the upcoming Trios Tournament within one of its leading titles, Fortnite. We have simplified the overall experience by offering our customers the ability to charge in-game items and enhancements direct to their mobile bill.
