MTN Cameroon announces the launch a new type of sponsored data proposition, Facebook Flex in partnership with Facebook. 

Launched for the first time in Cameroon by MTN, Facebook Flex has been customized for MTN prepaid and postpaid subscribers with any type of phone (2G,3G and 4G). 

Using 'Free Mode' on Facebook Flex, users can browse Facebook account, read, comment, share and send messages to friends and family without consuming their data bundle. However, videos and photos are not viewable in the Free Mode but can be accessed on 'Data Mode' which will start incurring standard data charges per their plan.

With Facebook Flex, users with data bundle balance of 0MB will still be able to let their friends know when they visit a new place, start a new job, move house or share other exciting news. It’s also useful when users want to SAVE their data while still having access to Facebook so you can share important information like funeral notices and stay on top of text-based newsfeed updates.
