Google is bringing its Google Wifi mesh router system to Asia via exclusive partnerships with Singapore's Starhub and Hong Kong's HKT after first launching it in North America in end-2016.
Google has already launched the mesh networking kit in UK, Germany, and France.
Google Wifi is a mesh networking system that replaces traditional routers, putting an end to dead zones at home and ensuring strong and fast signals for all connected devices.
In Singapore, customers will be able to get a three-pack Google Wifi at zero upfront cost when they sign up for or renew selected StarHub Broadband and Hubbing all-in-one plans. The plans include StarHub’s standalone 1Gbps Fibre Broadband service as well as multi-service SurfHub, HomeHub 1000 and HomeHub Go 1Gbps bundles.
Howie Lau, Chief Marketing Officer, Starhub
Mesh networking is quickly becoming popular, and we are thrilled to be Google’s exclusive local partner for Google Wifi, which has set the standard for ease-of-use, performance and affordability. With Google Wifi, our home broadband customers can easily enjoy wireless broadband connections at every corner of their homes.
