Tele2 Expands Collaboration with Telit to Offer Flat Rate IoT Connectivity Across Europe

Tele2, a major European telecommunications operator, with about 14 million customers in 9 countries has expanded its collaboration with Telit on Pan-European LTE IoT connectivity services. Headquartered in London, Telit a global provider of wireless machine to machine technology and value-added services including connectivity cloud and PaaS Application Enablement Services.

Tele2 and Telit now offer custom data plans with predictable pricing, no hidden fees or roaming charges for high bandwidth IoT applications, such as video monitoring, digital signage or real-time asset tracking – with LTE connectivity across the entire EU. These new high data roaming packages range from 50MB to 2GB per month and include a 100MB free trial.

According to Tele2, customers can manage their entire IoT deployment via the easy-to-use Telit IoT Portal, which includes comprehensive connectivity management tools for connection provisioning, operation and analysis across wireless networks - increasing performance and reducing cost. The new Pan-European broadband offering supports Optimus, Telit’s retroactive billing optimization engine.

With Optimus, customers can automatically have their SIMs retroactively assigned to the best monthly broadband subscription (for example 50MB, 100MB, 250MB), thereby saving operation cost and avoiding bill shock.

Sammy Yahiaoui, VP IoT Services Sales EMEA, Telit
