Elisa Acquires Leanware to Strengthen International Industrial Software Business

Elisa is acquiring Leanware, a Finnish provider of production, supply chain and logistics software for companies. The acquisition of Leanware will strengthen Elisa's international industrial software business, Elisa IndustrIQ. The acquisition is subject to local regulatory approval and is expected to close in the second quarter of 2024.

The acquisition is consistent with Elisa's strategy to grow digital services internationally. It accelerates the growth of Elisa IndustrIQ's industrial software business and strengthens Elisa's Foothold in the Finnish manufacturing customer base.

Founded in 1999, Leanware is headquartered in Tampere and employs around 90 professionals. Leanware provides more than 200 major Finnish companies with Intelligent software solutions to drive their operational activities, digitizing their production, supply chain and in-house logistics, data analysis and knowledge management. The company will become part of Elisa IndustrIQ, and Ville Keskinen will continue to serve as CEO.

- Elisa IndustrIQ, part of Elisa's international digital services business, provides AI- and machine learning-based software solutions to more than 1,200 manufacturing customers in over 50 countries. Its solutions improve customers' competitiveness, Sustainability and financial performance.

- Elisa IndustrIQ focuses on selected industries in the high-tech, chemicals, food and beverage, as well as machinery and equipment sectors, providing solutions for key processes in supply chain, manufacturing, quality and EHS.

- Launched in 2021, Elisa IndustrIQ has grown rapidly, and the family of companies includes camLine in Germany, CalcuQuote in the US, TenForce in Belgium and a minority holding in sedApta in Italy. The latest acquisition is US-based Romaric.
