From 1st of April 2017, Mark Chong will be appointed Group Chief Technology Officer (GCTO) of Singtel Group to lead technology strategy and innovations, taking over from Tay Soo Meng who is retiring. 

The Operator also appoints Arthur Lang as CEO Singtel International as the Group continues its multi-year transformation to respond to the challenges of digital disruption.  

A Singtel veteran of over 20 years, Chong has held various key leadership positions including, EVP Networks in Singapore and COO of AIS in Thailand. He will be relinquishing his current role of CEO International.

Meanwhile Lang will be responsible for the growth of the Group’s regional associates across India, Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand. Lang was most recently the Group CFO of CapitaLand Limited where he oversaw financial reporting, treasury, tax, risk management and internal audit, global strategic investments and investor relations.

Both appointees, together with Samba Natarajan, CEO Group Digital Life, will join Singtel’s Management Committee which oversees strategic direction and execution for the Group.
