Qualcomm announced the appointment of Mary Gendron as senior vice president and chief information officer, reporting directly to George Davis, executive vice president and chief financial officer. Gendron will lead Qualcomm’s global IT organization, driving operational excellence within the IT function and across the enterprise, as well as collaborating with the executive and business unit leadership teams to ensure Qualcomm continues to incorporate the most advanced technology solutions to achieve the Company's business goals.
Gendron who has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from McGill University in Canada brings more than 25 years of leadership and experience in IT, with expertise in developing and executing IT and talent-focused strategies, services and plans in a variety of industries. She has led complex global organizations, driving proactive business strategies required to develop differentiation and has consistently generated customer and employee value.
Prior to joining Qualcomm, Gendron served as senior vice president and chief information officer at Hospira, a leading global pharmaceutical and medical device company. Previously, Gendron served as CIO at Celestica International and served in other senior IT leadership positions at companies like The Nielsen Company, Motorola and Bell Canada.
