Mobistar officially rebrands as Orange in Belgium, positioning as part of the Orange family and strengthening the Group’s European operations under a single brand. After the rebranding of Mobinil in Egypt, Belgium is the latest subsidiary of the Orange Group to adopt the Orange brand. As of the end of March this year, Mobistar had 3.029 million customers in the country.

In addition to benefiting from a range of Group-wide synergies and expertise, Orange Belgium is integrating the Group’s Essentials 2020 strategy into its launch plans by placing customer experience at the heart of its new ambition.

Orange Belgium is unveiling a raft of new services to ‘connect customers to what’s essential in their lives’, including:

Access to convergent offers everywhere: enabling 99% of households to benefit from Orange Belgium’s internet and TV offer.

New retail experience: Orange-branded stores across Belgium and a brand new website that reflects the new focus on customers’ needs.

Access to Orange’s global events and experiences

Stéphane Richard, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Orange
Our ambition is to offer digital services over both fixed and mobile networks under a single brand, Orange, and to reinforce our position as leading convergent operator in Europe. We are very happy that Mobistar is becoming Orange right at the moment when we will be rolling-out fixed-mobile convergent offers in Belgium.

Jean Marc Harion, Chief Executive Officer, Orange Belgium
Today, we launch a new phase of development with the change to Orange. As Orange, we will refresh and invigorate the Belgian telecoms market through new convergent offers, innovative services and essential experiences that we can leverage from being part of a truly global company.
