T-Mobile announced that it plans to offer $1 billion in senior notes to raise money to acquire 700MHz A-block spectrum and other spectrum deals, including to participate in the FCC's 2016 broadcast incentive auction of 600 MHz spectrum.

T-Mobile has already snapped up quite a bit of 700MHz spectrum lately, spending more than $1 billion on licenses sprinkled throughout the US. In January of this year, T-Mobile acquired spectrum licenses that cover 20 million people in seven of the biggest metro areas that cost the Operator about $0.6 billion
