Ooredoo Group on Tuesday announced the institutionalisation of a flexible working initiative it has been pioneering since last year.

As part of the company’s strategic plan to advance its ways of working by increasingly adopting agile methods, a trial flexible working initiative was launched in 2021 with employees being given the option to work a flexible day and work from home two days a week.

The Group has seen great success with the initiative, leading the decision to institutionalise it and enhance the plan with even further flexibility.

To ensure business continuity when a member of the team needs to work from home while travelling, the plan has been enhanced with a newly launched trial that now also enables employees to work from home at a location outside Qatar for up to four weeks per year.

This option can be planned to coincide with leave days, enabling staff to travel with their families where needed, and can be up to four consecutive weeks or split into shorter periods.

Fatima Sultan Al Kuwari, Group Chief Human Resources Officer, Ooredoo
