In conjunction with the recently concluded Digital Transformation World 2022, Ariana Lynn, Senior Editor at The Fast Mode spoke to Angus Ward, CEO of Beyond Now on the company's participation at the event, some of the discussions and panel sessions that took place as well as Beyond Now's suite of SaaS-based digital business solutions.

Ariana: Which summit will Beyond Now be participating in?

Angus: Beyond Now exhibited at the event for the first time in three years and I was fortunate enough to share the Studio Stage with Jodi Baxter, Director of IoT Product and Services at TELUS. We enjoyed discussing what it means to become a platform player and how CSPs need to adapt to address customers’ ever-changing needs. Jodi shared some really interesting insight into how TELUS has adopted a platform-based approach to achieve this, moving beyond simply being a network operator to becoming an orchestrator of solutions with the customer at the forefront, working with them and an ecosystem of partners to collaborate and co-innovate.

In a separate opportunity as a panel moderator, I had the pleasure of hosting a conversation with Matsuo Ryuichi, Board Member, Platform Services Department, Network & Cloud Division, NTT Comware and Maria Edsa Cabrera, Director of Emerging Technology & Industry Innovation, TELUS Business Solutions. We shared our expertise on the importance of co-innovating, co-creating and collaborating to drive platform monetization, highlighting the need for customer insight and understanding your partner network values.

Ariana: What will be Beyond Now's major showcases?

Angus: Now operating as an independent technology company since our management buyout from BearingPoint in 2021, DTW was our first opportunity to proudly showcase our new brand to the industry, as well as our unique SaaS-based Infonova Digital Business Platform. This industry-proven solution is already helping CSPs like NTT, Telia, BT and technology players to collaborate and co-create solutions with a growing number of partners, launch new services at speed and grow revenue across different verticals and geographies. By working with hyperscalers such as AWS and Google, we are also helping CSPs to revolutionize their “go-to-market” approach for new technologies such as 5G/IoT/cloud and Edge.

In addition, attendees could experience first-hand our involvement in various catalyst projects and be inspired by new ways to introduce "disruptive" services through Autonomous network hyperloops, as well as explore new smart services powered by ecosystem collaboration, Edge, AI, digital twins and more via the award-winning Digital Business Marketplace V (DBM5).

Ariana: How does it feel to be back physically at DTW 2022? What’s your Copenhagen experience?

Angus: It has certainly been a tough two years for the events industry, and like many others, I was delighted when it was announced that DTW 2022 would finally be an in-person event once more, but this time, in its new European home of Copenhagen. An event like DTW brings people together from all corners of the world, and from all areas of telecoms sharing a vast array of ideas, perspectives and content. It was a great feeling to be physically back at DTW, engaging with fellow industry experts and networking with other delegates in this wonderful and fascinating city. Industry collaboration is key, and I for one want to embrace every opportunity I can to be able to do that in person with my peers. I am looking forward to more events like this in the coming months, and into 2023, where we can continue deeper in-person dialogue and momentum. This week, we announced the expansion of our board of directors, welcoming on two new members based in the US so I’m excited for more forthcoming growth stateside and on a global scale.
