In conjunction with MWC Barcelona 2022 which will be taking place this week, Tara Neal, Executive Editor of The Fast Mode spoke to Marco Stracuzzi, Head of Product Marketing at Telit on the company's plans and showcases for this year's event.

Tara: What do youthink MWC 2022 will be all about? And what are your MWC 2022 plans?

Marco: MWC’s key themes for 2022 align with the biggest growth sectors of telecommunications and enterprises across many vertical markets such as 5G connectivity, Internet of Everything, the mobile ecosystem, advancing AI, cloud computing and FinTech and value creation. Telit plays a significant role in many of these areas.

Plans for this year’s show include announcing our expanded 5G solutions as well as our Telit NExT connectivity offerings.

Tara: How has the pandemic impacted the operational and business landscape of the tech segment you are operating in?

Marco: While there were supply chain disruptions across most sectors of telecom and technology, Telit was in an advantageous position to meet customer orders. Particularly for a global company like Telit with a global supply chain, the pandemic presented unexpected opportunities for IoT companies to help address the health needs of people globally. For example, the need for reliable telehealth options like virtual doctor visits and managing chronic diseases at home.

Tara: What emerging trends/technologies have you observed in your tech segment in recent months?

Marco: With a shift to hybrid and remote work, and the buildout of 5G networks, the need for reliable connectivity has become essential. It is the lifeblood of IoT deployments. Enterprise endpoint management, too, has become more complex. Whether a deployment includes 50 or hundreds of thousands of devices, managing those devices and connectivity from a single pane of glass is critical to business success. In regard to mobile networks in particular, devices need to maintain their connections under the most extreme conditions. As deployment scales globally, robust monitoring and management tools will be required to streamline the complexity of each network connection that covers devices’ areas of operation. Telit's OneEdge IoT connectivity and device management addresses these unique requirements while enhancing productivity, operational performance, monitoring and business intelligence for all industries and markets worldwide.

Marco Stracuzzi is the head of product marketing and is responsible for working with product leadership and sales teams to execute on go-to-market strategies that drive global awareness and adoption of Telit’s products and solutions.
