In conjunction with MWC Barcelona 2022 which will be taking place from the 28th of February to the 3rd of March, Tara Neal, Executive Editor of The Fast Mode spoke to Kent Lundgren, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Pivotal Commware on the company's plans and showcases for this year's event.

Tara: What do you think MWC 2022 will be all about? And what are your MWC 2022 plans?

Kent: MWC 22 will address all 6 of its stated themes but among them, “5G Connect” will get the most attention from MWC attendees. Anticipating this, Pivotal will conduct its meetings at MWC but in virtual reality to underscore 5G and Pivotal’s role in shaping the 5G future.

Tara: How has the pandemic impacted the operational and business landscape of the tech segment you are operating in?

Kent: Pivotal product deployments in its network infrastructure segment have not been impacted in the US, where 5G telecom equipment businesses have been allowed to operate as usual.

Tara: What emerging trends/technologies have you observed in your tech segment in recent months?

Kent: Demand for mobile has continued unabated.  Midband spectrum capacity is beginning to run out in urban hotspots. Demand for mmWave by economy-minded carriers is focusing attention on Pivotal’s mmWave product ecosystem.
