In conjunction with MWC Barcelona 2022 which will be taking place from the 28th of February to the 3rd of March, Tara Neal, Executive Editor of The Fast Mode spoke briefly to David Callisch from Celona on the company's plans and showcases for this year's event.

Tara: What do you think MWC 2022 will be all about? And what are your MWC 2022 plans?

David: We plan on being there and will be announcing some big private wireless partnerships and joint development work.

Tara: How has the pandemic impacted the operational and business landscape of the tech segment you are operating in?

David: The pandemic has been challenging with respect to both hiring and supply chain (getting product on time) issues. Beyond that we seem to be navigating it nicely as the market for 5G LANs and private wireless for the enterprise is set to explode.

Tara: What emerging trends/technologies have you observed in your tech segment in recent months?

David: The trends we’ve been seeing in the market center around the need for more deterministic (predictable) wireless connectivity for use cases and applications that are vital to business operations (eg. stable voice communications between clinicians in hospitals, non-stop mobility for automated IoT systems in warehouses, factories and logistic operations, etc.

Today’s conventional “best effort” wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi or public carrier cellular services simply aren’t cutting it for companies.
