Indosat, a member of the Group Ooredoo, this week launches a new e-book service, CIPIKABOOKMATE via partnership with BOOKMATE, a Russia-based digital book firm. CIPIKABOOKMATE is the first digital book application services in Indonesia which presents the concept of one-time subscription that enables users to pay once and read as much as they want without 'borrowing' and 'returning' books as what is prevalent across traditional libraries, said Indosat.
CIPIKABOOKMATE which is available via a standard package for Rp 39,000 per month and a premium package at a price of Rp 59,000 per month comes with a total of 500,000 international titles and 4,000 titles locally. It is also accessible offline and if available via the Cipikabookmate app found on Google, Apple and Windows app stores.
"The people of Indonesia are very open to all matters relating to the use of mobile phones and Indosat is very excited to introduce innovative mobile reading,' said Prashant Gokarn, Chief Digital Services Officer, Indosat.
