Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity provider, SIGFOX partners VT Networks to roll out the SIGFOX low-power IoT network across Ireland. As a SIGFOX Network Operator, VT Networks will extend SIGFOX’s coverage and provide its seamless connectivity, clear subscription-based pricing and guaranteed service-level agreement to Irish customers.

VT Networks aims to accelerate the development of IoT applications in Ireland and will connect over 1 million devices by 2017. The deployment of SIGFOX in Ireland which is the 12th country with SIGFOX depoyment will see VT Networks partnering with the communication-network operator, 2RN for a fast rollout. 2RN distributes and transmits programming for Ireland’s national television and radio broadcasters, while also providing much of the infrastructure for Ireland’s local radio services, telcos and emergency services.
