Intel announced at the recent Intel Developer Forum (IDF) held in San Francisco that it has expanded its Internet-of-Things (IoT) Developer program to include Intel’s IoT Commercial Developer Resources and Kits. The IoT Developer Program that was launched last year aims to provide a fast, flexible and scalable path for IoT solutions with a comprehensive set of resources, developer kits, tools, knowledge and technical support.
According to Bill Pearson, director of IoT developer programs at Intel, the IoT Developer Kit combines an end-to-end solution of APIs, security, cloud connectivity, and IDEs to meet the needs of developers. It is designed to provide a complete scalable solution for IoT developers that enables a path from prototype to product that is more streamlined and is easy to innovate.
The kit includes an Intel® Galileo Board, a variety of sensors, and Wind River software. The kit also provides access to sample codes for connecting to 3rd party cloud services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and IBM Bluemix.
