Telenor Starts 4G Servies in 6 Cities of Pakistan Using 850Mhz Spectrum

TP

The second largest mobile operator in Pakistan, Telenor has begun rolling out 4G in select areas in the country, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Multan, Peshawar and Swat, using the 10MHz of frequency spectrum in the 850MHz band that it recently acquired.

Telenor Pakistan which has around 37 million subscribers is offering a limited-time free access to the new 4G service. Telenor Pakistan’s customers in the above mentioned cities are encouraged to obtain their 4G SIMs at the nearest Telenor Sales and Service Center or Franchise.

Speedy rollout of the service to other cities will follow suit and will be updated on Telenor Pakistan’s website as the plan is expanded, said the Operator. For Telenor Pakistan, this represents a huge leap forward towards realizing its ambition of bringing Internet for All and empowering Pakistan with digital technology.
