To boost customers' take up on mobile internet service, Mobistar is giving up to 1.25 GB of free data for a month. This is how Mobistar supports the 'Surf Mobile' campaign initiated by the Belgian telecom regulator BIPT who wants to boost the use of mobile internet in Belgium. The objective of the campaign ‘Surf Mobile’ is to promote the use of mobile Internet among more users in the country.

Under the offer, its prepaid customers who own a smartphone and have a Kangaroo subscription receive no less than 1 GB of mobile data for free, and post-paid customers with a Kangaroo subscription receive up to 1.25 GB of data to make the most of the opportunities that mobile surfing offers.

In addition, via Belgacom's “My Mobistar” application, customers can monitor their mobile data usage and receive a text message when they have used 80% and 100% of their data volume. When the available data volume is exhausted, the mobile Internet automatically becomes unavailable, said Mobistar.

Chief Consumer Officer Cristina Zanchi
With our campaign, we want to offer our customers who are totally unfamiliar with mobile Internet the chance to explore mobile data. Free mobile data volume and the quality of our network will give them a chance to discover all the advantages of using mobile data.
