For one month, from the 1st to the 31st of October, Proximus is offering 1GB of free mobile Internet access to subscribers, targeting private customers, the self-employed and small companies that do not currently have mobile Internet in their rate plan. The offer is aimed at promoting mobile Internet in Belgium as it plays an important role in Belgium’s economic development and digital future.

According to Proximus, it will notify its customers via a text message, of the offer and from the beginning of next month, subscribers can start surfing for free in Belgium for up to 1GB of data. Customers who take up this offer and use mobile Internet will receive two subsequent text messages with information about their data usage: one message when they have used up half of their data and a second message when their data is completely used up. Customers can also use the free MyProximus application to check their usage levels, said the Operator.

Proximus estimates that with the 1GB of data, customers can handle 500 mails, visit social networks 700 times, consult 900 web pages, listen to music and watch videos for 2 hours.
