Singtel has launched Singapore Quick Response Code (SG QR) payments on its mobile payments app, Singtel Dash.
Singtel Dash customers can now pay using the SG QR code at Singtel canteens across Singapore. By the first quarter of 2018, customers will be able to use this payment option at more than 1,000 merchants and hawker centres.
Singtel Dash customers can simply update their app and scan the SG QR code at participating merchants to make payments. The function is available on both iOS and Android smartphones.
Singtel also announced that Singtel Dash customers can now easily transfer money via their Singtel Dash wallet to any mobile number or into their local bank account. This increased flexibility will allow them to use their Singtel Dash app to perform a variety of transactions from transferring balances, paying friends or giving allowances to their children.
Since its relaunch in 2016, Singtel has enhanced Singtel Dash through the expansion of its remittance corridors and launch of Singapore’s first virtual Visa account.
