Connected Health

Connected Health refers to health services that leverage fixed and mobile connectivity to link patients, doctors, health devices, medical equipment, hospitals and clinics to enable information on patient’s health to be shared in real-time to help diagnosis, monitoring and patient care.

It involves linking up information collected from various nodes (including wearable health devices and medical equipments which monitor patients' health) to the Cloud and with hospital/clinics, enabling health practitioners to access this information and receive alerts and updates in real-time. It also allows doctors to quickly access past records of a patient, manage/control health devices and medical equipment remotely and collaborate with other practitioners/health-care centers.

At the same time, Connected Health enables patients and users to keep tab of their health and physical fitness by monitoring various health and fitness indicators provided on self-care mobile health applications available on their mobile devices.
