Russian telecom giant, Rostelecom has extended contract with Spirit DSP for its VideoMost software videoconferencing server for the next 5 years. Rostelecom started leveraging Spirit's licensee back in 2013 when th eoperator launched SaaS videoconferencing service to enterprises.
Rostelecom which operates in multiple segments of the telecommunications market and covers 35 million households in Russia offers cloud VideoMost-based video conferences services for enterprise users under its own brand and billing.
Rostelecom is also a leader in the broadband and pay-TV markets in Russia with over 12 million fixed-line broadband subscribers and over 9 million pay-TV subscribers.
Spirit offers carrier-grade voice and video software platform for carriers, OEMs and software developers. The company claims that its DSP software platforms serve more than 1 billion users in 100 countries and it powers popular products by global technology leaders including Apple, Adobe, ARM, AT&T, BT, China Mobile, Dialogic, Ericsson, HP, HTC, Huawei and Korea Telecom.
More recently, Indonesia's 4G operator, Smartfren together with Mitel, a global leader in end-to-end solutions for real-time business, cloud and mobile communications, has developed and launched VoLTE service powered by Spirit’s TeamSpirit Mobile Video Call SDK.
