CBOSS upgraded the convergent solution for a subsidiary of Russia’s nationwide telecom holding company enabling effective delivery of services to the Operator’s fast-growing subscriber base and to support its 3G services. The project will also enhance the network performance, allowing the deployment of the next generation services.

Services to the Operator’s postpaid and prepaid subscribers are provided through the CBOSSconvergence3 system, while the real-time processing and rating of calls, data, and m-Commerce transactions are performed by CBOSSrtb. A component of CBOSSconvergence3, the CBOSSrtb Real-Time Billing System is built on the NonStop hardware platform based on the Mated Pair disaster-proof architecture which allows full data redundancy of the two geographically distributed nodes. The project also involved complete replacement of the hardware component of the CBOSSbcc postpaid service rating system as well as that of the Management Gateway of CBOSSrtb. The hardware was replaced with new servers featuring higher performance, scalability, and reliability. The subscriber data transfer to the new hardware involved a large-scale migration of over 10TB of data from the Operator’s databases.

Cboss End-to-end Integrated Convergent Solution

Andrey Morozov, President of CBOSS, states, ‘A single point of responsibility from CBOSS for all IT layers of the solution, including the hardware and system software, allowed carrying out the project quickly, efficiently, and without any interruption of the service. Another key factor to the success was the strict compliance with our corporate project management strategy. The highest quality of the complex project on the Operator’s hardware modernization, implemented by the CBOSS team, once again proved that the best system integrator is the developer and vendor of the entire solution – CBOSS as is in the case.’  Read More ''CBOSS COMPLETES THE PROJECT ON THE MODERNIZATION OF THE HARDWARE/SOFTWARE PLATFORM OF A SUBSIDIARY OF RUSSIA’S NATIONWIDE TELCO'
