US-based low-power, wide-area networks (LPWANs) provider, Senet which competes with other IoT networks including Ingenu and Sigfox, recently announced coverage in 10 additional major metropolitan areas of the country.

Already in 110 cities covering more than 125,000 square miles of the U.S., Senet will now offer its service in Los Angeles, New York City, Washington D.C., Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, Seattle, San Diego, Atlanta and Denver with additional expansion throughout 2017. Senet already has networks in other major metropolitan areas like San Francisco, Boston and San Jose, and with this announcement now has a presence in a total of 225 cities and 23 states covering a population of nearly 50 million people.

Senet said its highly scalable and reliable LoRa LPWA network utilizes multiple gateway solutions from several manufacturers and Senet’s own operations support system (OSS) to deliver network services at very low cost and very high scale.

Senet’s ability to manage multiple gateway configurations in a seamless manner, and to deploy them rapidly, allows for unmatched time to market and total cost of ownership for IoT applications across a wide range of verticals, including smart city, smart building, agriculture, oil and gas, metering and asset management.
