Telenor Sweden has turned on tri-band LTE carrier aggregation (3CC) services in nearly 400 locations in city centres across the country to offer its subscribers speeds of up to 450Mbps.

Telenor and Tele2 Sweden jointly operate Net4Mobility, providing 4G LTE radio access network covering 99.5% of the population, but manage their own independent core networks.

Customers will require category 9 smartphones such as HTC one(10), Galaxy Note 4 S-LTE, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Note 7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Xiomi Mi Note Pro or Xiomi Mi5 to connect to the 3CC enabled network to enjoy faster speeds.

The Operator has earlier rolled out dual-carrier LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) aggregation (2CC) in over 200 municipalities to boost data download and upload speeds.
