datamena, a leading carrier neutral data centre and connectivity provider based in the UAE, Thursday announced the addition of Sprint, to its list of partners.

UAE-based telco Du launched datamena back in 2012 to provide connectivity interchange and services platform for international carriers, content and service providers in the Middle East.

Sprint chose datamena to host its hub location for the region to expand the reach of its network into the Middle East and Africa. datamena is providing Sprint with colocation facilities within the data centre, built and managed to the highest global standard. With this new partnership, Sprint will be able to offer a better overall experience to customers in GCC countries, said datamena.

Launched by du in 2012 and based in the UAE, datamena offers customers a secure ecosystem of space, connectivity, infrastructure and expertise, to help them grow across the Middle East and the world. It presents a significant opportunity for customers looking to expand upon their global footprint, and acts as a growth accelerator for digital businesses both in the UAE and the Gulf region.

Mark Harris, Sprint’s Managing Director
We chose datamena due to the quality of its DC facility, its carrier neutrality and the ease with which we can conduct our business in the region from its facility. Its central location as well as the access it provides to key cable systems makes it the perfect choice for us to be able to deliver the fastest, best, possible experience for our customers.

Khaled Tabbara, Senior Vice President - International Wholesale, du
The combination of our geo-strategic location and our impressive roster of interconnection partners and facilities are key reasons why datamena is increasingly becoming the preferred choice for international businesses looking to build a presence in the region.
