Enhancing its cloud portfolio, Telstra launches a new Cloud Management Platform that is designed to operate hybrid cloud environments by providing a single, comprehensive view of their private and public cloud services. The new cloud platform will leverage Telstra Cloud Gateway that it unveiled in April to enable private and secure connectivity directly into multiple public cloud platforms such as AWS and IBM SoftLayer, Microsoft Azure, Office365 and VMware vCloud Air.

The Telstra Cloud Management Platform will be powered by RightScale, providing customers with rich analytics, self-service enablement, and a powerful management console across multiple cloud resources. The new platform provides a critical layer across multiple cloud platforms that gives customers visibility across all their cloud resource, the ability to monitor applications as well as automate how workloads respond and scale in-line with business demands.

The Operator has recently also acquired Readify, a developer of Microsoft software applications to bolster its cloud, IoT, analytics and integration capabilities. It has also made a number of other technology acquisitions over the last two years such as Kloud, O2 Networks, Bridge Point Communications and NSC Group.
