C Spire, the 6th largest wireless operator and a leading cable operator in the U.S., is deploying MobiTV Connect Platform, an IP video delivery solution which allows cable operators to introduce next generation Pay TV services. It plans to leverage the popular connected TV devices and streaming boxes that are already in a large majority of U.S. homes, including Roku players, Amazon Fire TV and Apple TV devices, select smart TVs and iOS and Android smartphones and tablets.

Boasting one of the largest IPTV solutions in the world, MobiTV said that it is enabling Pay TV providers' to deliver content packages to subscribers without expensive hardware such as the traditional set-top boxes. 

Through the MobiTV Connect platform, pay TV companies are able to quickly upgrade their network's video delivery from traditional QAM to IP and seamlessly blend on-demand, live TV, catch-up TV, network DVR and recommendations, said MobiTV. It added that customers will benefit from the highly visual experience enabled across streaming boxes, connected TV devices, PCs, tablets and mobile phones.
