Contela announced that the company has supported the deployment of SK Telecom's nationwide LoRa network. Contela's LoRa Gateways and LoRa Network Servers enabled SK Telecom to roll out its Internet-of-Things(IoT) network on Lora using the ISM band (900 Mhz). The Operator has just recently completed the rollout and has already begun launching commercial IoT services.

According to Contela, SK Telecom plans to focus on developing diverse IoT services in the areas of automatic metering, location positioning, and remote monitoring to fully leverage the strength of its nationwide LoRa network.

South Korea-based Contela is a leading IoT and Small Cell provider that has LoRa Gateway, LoRa Network Server, and Small Cell products such as Residential/Enterprise/Outdoor Small Cells, serving tier-1 telcos in Korea, Japan and the United States. 

Contela said that it is working closely with SK Telecom to deliver new value and convenience to both individual and enterprise customers over the IoT network.
