Verizon has collaborated with Samsung America to unveil a new 4G LTE Network Extender that is designed to enhance voice and data coverage for residential and business locations. The self-installed femtocell which features Samsung's small cell technology will be available from Verizon for $249.99.

Adding to the existing 4G LTE Network Extender for Enterprise, the new 4G LTE Network Extender expands Verizon’s 4G LTE in-building coverage solution portfolio to include homes, small business locations, restaurants, smaller public safety offices and branch office locations. The new solution works like a miniature 4G LTE cell tower in homes or business environments within a 7,500 square foot area, providing HD Voice coverage and fast 4G LTE data speeds for up to seven devices with an eighth channel reserved for 911 calls.

The 4G LTE Network Extender also deploys Samsung’s self-optimizing network technology to automatically learn its surroundings and adjust its coverage to improve user experience. It also ensures seamless transition to Verizon’s 4G LTE network if sufficient coverage overlap exists.
