Telefonica’s Internet of Things (IoT) business unit has selected PTC's ThingWorx IoT platform to advance its connected product and service development. 

Telefonica’s Smart Device Service, which is comprised of device enablement and management capabilities, enables customers to transform their business with connected applications and services. 

By using ThingWorx, Telefonica is extending its Smart Device Service platform’s rapid application development, connectivity, and analytics capabilities, which help businesses reduce the time and cost of building, deploying, and achieving value from connected product and service applications. At the same time, leveraging ThingWorx ready-made components and its global ecosystem of partnersTelefonica’s operators will be able to deliver these services securely and with a high degree of reliability. 

Telefonica´s Smart Device Service is fully integrated with Smart m2m, Telefonica´s managed connectivity platform, to provide customers with complete visibility, control and management of the end to end solution.
