Sandvine extends its existing contract with a Tier 1 North American fixed line operator by signing a follow-on order of over $5 million for its Policy Traffic Switch (PTS) and Service Delivery Engine (SDE). The leading provider of intelligent broadband network solutions for fixed and mobile operators also announced that it has secured a record of 25 new customers during its fourth quarter of 2013 from a mix of service providers -mobile, DSL, cable, fixed wireless and fibre network access infrastructures. The order is key to support the operator’s business intelligence and traffic optimization use cases and to help in understanding current and future trends in consumer experience and resource utilization in order for the operator to proactively decide where to allocate resources and incremental network investment.
