Imran Yusuf, Vice President Business Development & Strategic Alliances at Qosmos, will chair a panel of high profile industry speakers during the pre-conference briefing titled 'Developing an Efficient, Service-Aware, Application Aware Network', Monday 9th December 2013 at the Carrier Network Virtualization event organized by Informa. Qosmos, a pure-play supplier of embedded Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) and network intelligence technology, said in a press release that the panel discussion will address Carrier-Class SDN in detail from a strategic perspective and look at the key issues dominating the evolution of the SDN industry. The event will examine the steps needed to be taken to move Carrier SDN forward from research into reality, and will include a wide range of in-depth carrier perspectives from across the world. The panel discussion will also address best possible uses of SDN and NFV within carrier networks, the economics of SDN and NFV and general availability for carriers across the world and includes the components that should NOT be virtualized.
