Incognito Software Secures Two Deals for TR-069-based Home Gateway Provisioning from Chinese Cable Operators

Vancouver-based Incognito Software Systems recently announced that two provincial Chinese cable and broadband operators have selected its Incognito Auto Configuration Server to support TR-069-based Home Gateway Provisioning for new services such as IPTV, WiFi, and gaming to market.

The Auto Configuration Server solutions supports remote provisioning of DOCSIS and TR-069 to reduce management costs for both operators, said Incognito.

The two operators, Guangdong Provincial CATV and Chongqing CATV have a combined total of more than 21 million subscribers. With over 15 million cable TV subscribers, Guangdong Provincial CATV is deploying smarter TR-069-based home gateways which will allow home devices such as mobile phones and tablets to easily connect wirelessly. With five million cable TV subscribers and more than 1.1 million high speed data subscribers, the second operator, Chongqing CATV, has the most high speed data subscribers compared to any other cable operator in China, added Incognito.

Zhang Yong, Vice Chief Technical Officer of Chongqing CATV
To support the needs of our customers, we need to extend the capabilities of our internal systems to support various scenarios and new services. The Incognito solution helps us achieve this while also helping us establish more streamlined and intelligent operational processes.

Stephane Bourque, CEO and president of Incognito Software Systems
The deployment of a TR-069 solution enables Guangdong Provincial CATV and Chongqing CATV to ease the roll-out of new revenue-generating services and enhance subscriber quality of experience, all while streamlining internal processes.
