Globe Telecom Leverages Xura's Spam & Fraud Control Platform

Xura, a leading provider of digital communications services, Wednesday announced that it is working closely with Globe Telecom Philippines to support the operator in its fight against SMS spam. Globe which started tapping on Xura's Spam & Fraud Control solution since last year is now blocking 300,000 spam messages a day to protect its customers from unwanted messages.

According to Xura, its Spam & Fraud Control solution provides a single solution to handle all internal and international traffic and can filter up to one billion SMS daily. It claims that the solution is the only option available on the market that includes network and content level filtering.

Built with Xura's MCO, the solution is able to address Globe's requirements for more advanced, comprehensive and proactive spam and fraud control features. Xura added that its platform currently covers the majority of Globe's post-paid and prepaid customers with a combined total of 53 million as of the end of 2015.
