Three Ireland has signed a contract worth €65m with Amdocs for strategic services and solutions to support its IT digital transformation. The scope includes the integration of former O2 IT systems, the elimination of duplicate IT costs and the delivery of a world-class customer experience through innovative and digital services.
This investment is in addition to Three’s previously announced network investment of €300 million, which is well-underway in delivering a superfast 4G network for Three’s 2 million customers.
This agreement will see Amdocs acting as lead systems integrator under a five-year managed services model to consolidate and modernize Three Ireland’s IT systems across all lines of business to overcome system complexity, simplify business processes, provide substantial cost and operational efficiencies and enable the delivery of personalized omni-channel experiences and innovative offerings and rate plans for Three's subscribers.
Robert Finnegan, CEO at Three
This €65 million investment is the next step in what is an exciting journey for Three as we continue to deliver on the promises we made when we acquired O2 in 2014. At that time we promised two new MVNOs, which we have delivered.
Eric Updyke, Group President of Systems Integration and Operations at Amdocs
Our software and services will provide Three Ireland with a comprehensive, digital experience solution, leveraging customer data, digital interactions and new engagement channels to capture the world of digital immediacy and rise to a new level of customer experience.
