Intercellular Nigeria to Transform CDMA Network to 4G LTE, Leveraging 800Mhz Spectrum Band

Intercellular Nigeria has signed an agreement with Huawei at the recent MWC to tranform its CDMA network to the 4G LTE. The operator will be rolling out the 4G LTE network on 800MHz spectrum band to meet the strategic and service demands of the Nigerian market.

The operator which launched its service in the country in 1998 as a commercial fixed-wireless telephony providing services over a CDMA network in Lagos using the 800MHz band, was awarded a unified access service (UAS) licence in 2007, enabling it to provide a full range of telecoms services without technological limitation.
