Telecom Personal, the wireless carrier in Argentina has selected HPE to modernize its core network to deliver 4G/LTE technologies to meet customers' increasing data use. HPE will provide Telecom Personal with a complete network core solution that includes Policy and charging rules function (PCRF), Home subscriber system (HSS) / Home location register (HLR) and User data repository (UDR).

HPE said that the new core network architecture with open standard interfaces enables it to treat subscriber data management (SDM) as a network agnostic function. This will enable out-of-the box integration with third party network solutions, giving Telecom Personal the flexibility to evolve with future network advancements and avoid network vendor lock-in.

Paolo Perfetti, CTO, Telecom Personal
Mobile data is at the center of our strategy to enable our customers with the best user experience and we are making a huge transformation in our network to support it. HPE's combined telecommunications and IT experience and open approach make it a trusted supplier to help us meet customer needs.

Dave Sliter, vice president and general manager, Communications & Media Solutions, HPE
As Telecom Personal works to modernize its networking capabilities, our core solutions can enable them, and other CSPs, to handle SDM via a reliable, scalable and flexible approach.
