Diametriq, has included CAMEL/WIN support to its solution, the Diameter Interworking System™, to ensure inter-roaming capabilities between LTE and 3G for pre-paid subscribers. Diametriq, partnering a T1 operator, has taken the lead and developed the CAMEL/WIN specification solving a critical challenge of supporting subscriber services as operators transition to 4G and beyond. The new functionality is relevant and critical to almost all the mobile network operators today, as most 4G networks coexist with 3G networks.

According to Diametriq, the new solution provides support for a number of use cases including the standardized MAP to/from Diameter (e.g., S6a, S6d, S13, S13’ to GSM MAP and ANSI-41 MAP) and with the added CAP/WIN to/from Diameter, it can now support the use of legacy pre-paid systems. In addition, Diametriq’s unique and powerful Application Selector Function (ASF) simplifies the integration of third party applications such as “Pre-paid or Post-paid Billing Systems”, “Clearing and Financial Settlement Systems” and “Bill Shock and Churn Systems".

The enhanced solution was featured at LTE North America 2013, November 20-22 in Dallas, and Diametriq's President and CEO Anjan Ghosal presented on “Bridging the Generation Gap – Interworking between 3G, 4G and More!”

Anjan Ghosal, President and Chief Executive Officer of Diametriq“A major benefit of Diametriq’s Diameter Interworking System is that it may be interfaced to any vendor’s Diameter Signaling Controller (DSC) for easy integration to other network elements,” said Anjan Ghosal, president and CEO of Diametriq. “We offer a cost-effective alternative to upgrading a legacy system or purchasing a new one.” “Diametriq and its predecessor IntelliNet Technologies have a long history of solving interoperability issues and have a wealth of legacy protocols and expertise that we built into this product,” added Mr. Ghosal. “Our Diameter Interworking System is in trial with several operators at this time.”  Read More 'Amdocs Announces New Network-Based Solutions and Partner Program'
