Globe Telecom Picks Amdocs MFS Solution to Enhance GCash Services

The largest mobile operator in Philippines Globe Telecom's wholly-owned subsidiary G-Xchange(GXI) has selected Amdocs latest version of the Amdocs Mobile Financial Services (MFS) solution to upgrade its existing GCash mobile money services. Amdocs' MFS solution has been powering GCash money services since 2004.

According to Amdocs, the upgrade will enable GXI to expand and scale up its capabilities to address evolving mobile financial services market needs such as delivering bulk payment services for salaries and government disbursements. With this latest solution, GXI will be able to deliver services faster and more efficiently, with a seamless customer experience across multiple touch points as well as improved analytics for users to view and manage their transactions.

Albert Tinio, CEO, GXI
This key system enhancement will enable us to realize new revenue streams with new services targeting new segments, while boosting GCash's ability to deliver a highly scalable and efficient mobile financial services solution for consumers, merchants and organizations, meeting the business need of the evolving market place.

Patrick McGrory, Division President for Amdocs emerging offerings
The Philippines market is increasingly shifting towards mobile payments, given the exponential rise in adoption of smartphones and online shopping.
