The largest telecoms operator in Canada, Bell Canada is deploying Nokia's Terabit core router -  7950 XRS (Extensible Routing System) - to bolster its network capacity to cater for the data growth of its wireless, residential and business customers. The new routers will support Bell Canada’s massive Gigabit Fiber Internet infrastructure project.

According to Nokia, the 7950 XRS delivers highly scalable and reliable transport and access technology that enables Bell’s customers to share and access video, multimedia and other data faster than ever before. Furthermore, the 7950 XRS can handle multiple terabits of data per second to the gigabit connected home and the cloud connected enterprise.
