Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has awarded a 5-year contract to AT&T to transform its business with cloud-based applications. AT&T will provide FCC with a cost-effective IP solution that will support mobile and cloud-based applications.

The service will link a number of offices and data centers and allows FCC to reconfigure network and Internet requirements on demand, enabling the organization to connect to diverse cloud service providers. The solution includes the Managed Trusted Internet Protocol Service (MTIPS) for improved security which comes with built-in redundancy to keep business operations up and running, said AT&T.
