Los Angeles-based Smart Wearable and tracking firm, GTX(GlobalTrek Xploration) has signed an agreement with Telefónica Germany to leverage Telefónica’s global Smart M2M platform and relationships across Europe. GTX said that the Smart M2M (SM2M) agreement enables GTX's patented GPS SmartSole and other innovative GPS and cellular tracking and monitoring solutions to be deployed across the globe using one SIM card and provisioning backend platform, complementing Telefonica’s telematics portfolio of novel products and solutions.
GTX added that its GPS SmartSoles are an unobtrusive safety and security monitoring and tracking solution for those who suffer from Alzheimer’s, dementia, autism, TBI and other memory disorders and have a tendency to wander.
Helmut Schnierle, Head of M2M Sales at Telefonica Germany
Our Smart M2M is a perfect ready-to-use solution that will enable GTX Corp to manage their global connectivity processes without having to invest in M2M development and IT infrastructure. With Our API, GTX will be able to easily integrate their backend with our Smart M2M platform.
Patrick Bertagna GTX Corp CEO
Our partnership with Telefonica is significant because unlike other M2M devices once the SmartSoles are made there is no physical access to the SIM card and hence having a partner that can support our connectivity requirements and pricing demands from our customers is paramount to our global go to market strategy.
