State-owned incumbent operator for the country, Angola Telecom has selected CSG International Revenue Management solutions via CSG’s partner, Satec. Satec, a multinational ITC integration company has won the contract to design and build Angola Telecom’s new information systems using CSG solutions to cover all BSS functionalities. Angola Telecom offers voice and data fixed line services over ADSL, WiMax and Fiber.
The contract comes on the heels of the successful pilot deployment of CSG Interconnect for Angola Telecom’s wholesale operations. The integrated solution will include CSG Singleview Convergent Rating & Billing, Singleview Customer Management, and Intermediate, as well as the expansion of CSG Interconnect to include CSG Route and Financial Manager.
According to CSG, the transformation of the operator’s back office systems is part of an investment plan that includes the rollout of its next generation network (NGN), fiber optic and IP/MPLS backbone, LTE services as well as wireless in the local loop (WiLL) and copper wire-based last mile deployment.
